Don't Just Think About It, Be About It

Updated: Mar 2, 2021

If there is one thing that 2020 has taught us, it is that time is of the essence. I watched a movie on Netflix a couple of weeks ago and one of the characters said, " whether you think you can or you think you can't.....you're right." 2020 has been filled with "why me?", "what if?", and "why not?". Those that had the "why me?" mentality where probably shocked and paralyzed by the events that occurred in 2020. Those that had the "what if?" mentality probably thought about starting a new project, a new business, or learning something new. However those that had the "why not?" mentality, actually started a new project, a new business, or learned something new. If you think that the problems of 2020 are in the past, I want you to think again. Knowing what we know and what we don't know about the virus behind the pandemic means that 2021 could be filled with much of what we saw in 2020.

So, take the time to think about what your inner most desires, visions, and dreams are. Be bold and think BIG! What do YOU want? What do you want YOUR future to look like. What brings YOU joy? What fills YOUR cup? What is that one thing that you believe God purposed in YOUR heart? Then write it down. Over 20 times in the bible God gives instructions to write thoughts down. In fact, Habakkuk 2:2 says, " Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come". The bible says in the books of Habakkuk, Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews, " the just shall live by faith". And in 1 Thessalonians Paul said, " we give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith". It is written in James 2:20, " Faith without works is dead." So if you take anything away from this post let it be this: write it down, have faith, and get to work!
