"For as a he (or she) thinks in his heart, so is he" - Proverbs 23. Thoughts are powerful and if left uncontrolled can take us down a path that leads to an unfulfilled and unfruitful life. However, if managed well, can lead us into the life full of purpose and accomplishment. When things around us get crazy or don't seem to be going our way, or just simply don't make sense, it is easy to let our minds run wild and assume the worst of everything, everyone, and every circumstance , Nonetheless, we must "bring every thought captive". ( 2 Corinthians 10) And do as Paul says in Philippians 4, " whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovey, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things." If we practice this daily, we may just find ourselves being " Strong and of Good Courage" (Deuteronomy 31) and "having the peace that surpasses all understanding"( Philippians 4).
